Right Wing Orson Scott Card melts down at the media

He's absolutely flipped out. The media has tricked everyone about Benghazi and everything. Here's my favourite paragraph:

You have to attack Fox News and sneer at them and accuse them of bias, don't you -- because they're actually doing the job you merely pretend to do. They shame you by their genuinely balanced coverage, so you have to lie and accuse them of being what you are: ideological hacks, providing propaganda in order to advance a cause, while hiding the unhelpful truth.

Read his whole melt-down here:

Also read someone who's been tracking Card's mental breakdown over the last 20 years here:

ever did. That does it ... I was unpacking some books a few days ago (too much to explain), but I have his 'Alvin Maker' trilogy, which I bought used years ago and still haven't read - but I think they're going to get sold/given away.

I'm glad I haven't read any of his books. Certainly won't now.

Card doesn't know what he's talking about. Rupert Murdoch is a warmonger and war profiteer.

PS: A hearty welcome to DU, Saviolo!

No reason not to read them even though he is obviously daft. Just like Meatloaf... even though he stumped for "the stench", I still like listening to "heaven by the dash board light" with the window down cruising down the road in the summer. I just have to keep in mind now that he is a bit confused and is in need of a serious intervention. Possibly a big group hug or something.......

Although, now that I think about the plot of Enders War, and in light of Card being a r-wingnut, some things do sort of make sense. A society that looks for those who are best at war....... hmm.

On the subject of Nickleback... well, they just suck, so I really don't care about them.

I'll usually suggest people at least take a look at Ender's Game; most of his later stuff starts including a lot more of his personal politics, to say nothing of reading like Risk fanfiction.

It always bugs me watching an author I liked get nailed by the Brain Eater as time goes by, and Card got thoroughly nailed.

It doesn't matter what he writes, it's still crappy.

After struggling through what could possibly be the worst written rant in history, this guy is nuttier than Michelle Bachmann.
