First Southern state to vote on the measure. And it almost passes!
The narrowness of this "loss" is probably bigger news, and should give make us even happier, than the victories.
This tells me we have reached the point where a Presidential candidate favoring decriminalization could win. Not necessarily win on that point. But not lose because of it.
Actually, given the fact that marijuana just gave Obama a serious ass beating in Arkansas, a major Presidential candidate might win on that point.
For the record, I am one of those who would have said as late as yesterday, that would kill a Presidential candidate's chances electoraly. But facts are facts. My opinion was not.
