Change or Die?

That is the dilemma facing the Republican Party.

They put everything they had, including the wealth of their billionaire supporters, into the race and they still lost. They know they have to change something if they want to compete on a national scale.

What would that be? My guess would be that they will attempt to make a new pass for the Hispanic vote. Marco Rubio and others will have more of a role in the new Republican Party. They have to increase their numbers or die. They have no choice.

So Republican media groupies are talking about developing a strategy for attracting Hispanic votes. But they seem to think this is another "what lie can we tell" with a "wink, wink" to our current constituency to accomplish our goal of getting enough minority vote to be relevant in the future. (Funny, they aren't saying anything about being relevant to women.) Anyway, developing a winning strategy takes a bit more of a party moving toward the voter, not vice versa.
