The dear lady, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, will now be able to retire feeling upbeat about her legacy

on the court, her job well done!

And all of us here can breathe a lot easier knowing that if just one of the conservatives on the court has to leave for whatever reason, we will have a much better court with another Obama appointee.

The good stuff about this election never stops to occur to me...

She has been one hell of a bulwark against republican crap.

2. Yes, I too don't want to see her go. But I don't understand how anyone gets confirmed.

I know that Senate operational rule changes must take place prior to the first session but I don't understand how the filibuster can be fixed with the current numbers. Does anyone know how this can happen?

That just to bait them into clicking on my farewell EAT SHIT post! I've been lurking and thinking I could do a little trolling there for a couple years. My heart was never in it so I'll go out in a blaze of glory! At least a few people will see it before RimJob rips it down.

We can only hope Scalia and may even "Uncle Thomas" have to step down. It's a long four years, you never know. I can see Obama appointing moderate judges that deserve the job, not going all out for young liberals that I would like to see. That's fine with me. You could have counted on conservatives demanding young right-wingers from Romney, and they would have gotten them too. We dodged a bullett there for sure.

So much more class and dignity--such integrity on the bench will be difficult to replace.

In addition to another Obama appointee, we have new Senators like Elizabeth Warren in a place to confirm.

He and our Senator Dick Blumenthal, plus Kerry and Warren makes a powerhouse of liberals from our two neighboring states!
