Does anyone else think that Karl Rove is a little overrated? This is the 2nd election in a row that the "Mastermind" has lost. I know he puts up a good facade but he is now 0-2 in the last 2 elections. Not that he is to be underestimated (looking at the influence he has on congressional races etc.) but he is not the Drago that he tries to portray. No?

(11,001 posts)allow his manipulations of voting machines and elected officials that he is accustomed to doing. Without that, he was rendered useless. Kudos to the ground team of lawyers that were on the case. They can teach the AG how things should be done.

(25,989 posts)but this election (and the last, for that matter) proved he's far from the evil genius we've made him out to be. One thing: people have awoken to political chicanery and are unwilling to put up with that shit any longer. Rove developed his brand of political fuckery in a pre-internet era, and now it gets called out a lot quicker than in the past.

(54,087 posts)Look, the Republicans were gonna lose anyway. Rove managed to make gold out of trash here. I salute the man.
He's not an idiot by any means and i'm sure he's made millions over the past however number of years. In terms of serving oneself, he's smart. As far as being the political mastermind that he likes to portray, maybe not so much.
