.....but no alternative
A buoyant Mitt Romney revealed tonight that he wrote a 1,118-word acceptance speech, but no alternative as he wrapped up one, last frenetic day of campaigning.
'I feel like we put it all on the field. We left nothing in the locker room. We fought to the very end, and I think that's why we'll be successful,' Romney told reporters aboard his plane as he flew from Pittsburgh to Boston, where preparations were underway for a major election night event.
Even as exit polls show he trails in key swing states, the Romney campaign is preparing to celebrate in his hometown.
And his wealthy friends are coming along for the ride. Boston's Logan International Airport was jam-packed with private Gulfstream jets.
