Man, it's getting weird out there

I just had a major FB battle with someone who claims that the vote-switching machine story is fake.

I gave him MSNBC links, eyewitness stories and so did a lot of other people.

Where does this extreme denial come from? Honestly, when my favorite cause suffers a setback, I deal with it.

These people are.... (insert incedulous adjective here)

since birth that the country you live in is the most democratic/free/fair/wonderful country in the world, most people will refuse to see that this *may* not be true. I even see it on DU from time to time. This person just happens to be in denial about the voting system, since they've been told they have the best election system in the world they refuse to see it may not be true, because that would be just too much for their world view. I think it's brainwashing, myself.
