allowing displaced storm victims to vote anywhere. I saw on TV somewhere in Queens Co. they were voting in a huge tent.

Also, some people may not have any way to get to "any other polling place" ... hardest hit areas don't have subways running, gas stations have no gas. I saw a photo of HUNDREDS of people waiting in line at ONE bus stop. If no power, no internet, no phone, ... no way to find out where other polling places are.
We were without power, phone, internet, heat, water for 9 days last year. It's amazing how isolated you feel not being able to get online or get news.
