That's Romney, campaigning in Florida just a little while ago. Mitt Romney threatened the assembled crowd with another recession if he is not elected. He went further, stating that if Obama is re-elected, "There'll be threats of shutdown and default again."

That is the Republican candidate for president threatening to crash the economy via the GOP's House majority, where the "threats of shutdown and default" will originate.

Look at his face. He means it.

Protection-racket politics, ladies and gentlemen. Paraphrasing Paul Krugman, "That's an awful nice country you got there. Be a shame if something happened to it."

Why would a plane be that close to the crowd? Why would there be emergency slides extending from the plane and onto people's heads? Why are the letters 'VOTE' hovering in midair? And finally why does Romney have a vastly different highlight than everyone else?

It still encapsulates the Romney anger, though.

36. Aside from R$'s maniacal expression the image just looks odd.

Lighting from three apparent angles - the plan from above, r0mney from the front right looking like he is inside, the crowd from different angles depending on where they are. The people in front look like they are under some kind of canopy and the people in back look like they are in the same light as the plane.

I think that if the podium was under a canopy with some lights on R$, with a low f-stop and a studio lights you could get that look. It just looks like R$ was cut out of a picture from an inside event.

It's an indication of schedule. Romney is putting more work in on the campaign trail today than he has in three weeks. Most of the stops will only be at the airport.

I just heard from a friend whose been getting robo-called with all sorts of rushpublican superstars saying how he needs to vote to prevent all sorts of evils from happening. Our teevees are loaded with SuperPac ads amplifying any and every raw nerve it can as the "Great White Hope" throws one final punch and flails in all directions.

Let's hope that the deep fear campaign is an attempt to cover up a poor GOTV effort...
