President Obama will be featured front and center in an upcoming film which telling the story of the heroics of the elite SEAL team who brought down Osama bin Laden, thanks to heavy re-editing, it has been revealed.

SEAL Team Six: The Raid On Osama Bin Laden, backed by Academy Award-winning producer Harvey Weinstein, is set to air on November 4, two days before the election, and has been re-cut from its original format to feature more prominently the Commander-in-Chief.

But news of the edit has sparked an outcry with some Republicans who alleged that Mr Weinstein, who is a known supporter of the president, is trying to sway the election.

It focused almost entirely on the actual operation with Obama as kind of a backdrop. There wasn't anything regarding Obama that wasn't true - the footage they used was stuff that everybody had already seen, and there wasn't all that much of it. I didn't see it as promoting or favoring Obama in any way.

But the GOPers and their trained barking seals on Faux Snooze always have to have something to whine about.

They simply don't want any reminder whatsoever that it was ultimately POTUS' decision to go after Bin Laden when his advisors were split 50-50. And there's no way around that fact if the situation is truthfully narrated.

.....I don't see what the re-pukes have to be outraged about. After all, most of their propagandist lies are allowed to stand completely unchallenged, due to the decimation of the truth in broadcasting laws in this country.

Edit to correct light fingers.

There's not much footage/voice-over by Obama, as Mr. Weinstein said less than a typical trailer total, but it is expertly woven throughout the movie.

In the first 10 minutes, it showed a 2007 clip where O says if Pakistan had actionable intelligence and won't act, he will. Next screenshot a newspaper article about O being eviscerated politically for his comment. Finally a clip from the debate where McCain mocks him for his comments and O repeating them. It's a powerful some 10 seconds. The movie also shows unequivocally that O was up to his armpits in the process, one character saying if O gives the mission a green light it will his presidency on the line. At the end, his gracious announcement that OBL was singing with the choir invisible.

Yes, I can see why they'd be cranky. It gives O the credit he deserves for keeping his promise and doing it well, and they simply aren't having it.
