How is it that in 2012 America, both sides of the spectrum see the elections as possibly unfair?

One side accuses the other of cheating. The other side accuses the first one of suppressing the vote. Back and forth it goes, a pissing match of national proportions.

Isn't there some common ground here? Doesn't it seem, at least on the surface, that both sides want fair elections, at least as far as the voting process goes?

Why do we continue to have this fight? Why?

Yeah, I know, there really is cheating. So how about, rather than accuse, we simply ask all sides to put up or shut up? Challenge both sides to make this right. Challenge both sides to establish some national election standards. And do it fast. Force the cheaters to join the reformers. Shine a light on it all.

They screamed about ACORN, but they are the ones that employ the fraudsters (aka Repuke State Election officials). It's the ol Rove- call their strength a weakness and vice versa game.

I hope we take back the states soon so that we can control the elections and hopefully fix this 3rd World BS that we usually send Jimmy Carter in as a monitor.

They didnt want to keep him even before he took office. I'll fucking run, or more to the point, I'll work for whomever they DEMS put up against him next time.

We've got to get to the point that we (all of us, not just DEMS) get sick of the teabagger selfish shit that we take the country back for the adults.

false claims are drummed up against our side to incite outrage among their gullible, hate-driven voters.

compromise seems possible, e,g, abortion.

Probably a handful of people on each side are involved in questionable even illegal activities.

Regardless of who is elected president, he cannot govern a nation so divided and heaven help us if one candidate receives the majority popular vote and the other the majority electoral college votes.

the Conservative point of view is promoted 24/7 on Fox and hundreds of radio stations across the nation. They think we are pond scum and enemies to be eliminated. They don't seem to see that America was not founded on the idea of having only one party. But that seems to be their goal. We have to resort to some sort of defense mechanism..........

Republicans want power over the White House, House of Representatives, and the Senate, and they think they should have power all the time non stop. Anytime they don't have power they accuse the government of illegitimacy.

not the 1%, we really don't know what is going on. The BIG money has so bastardized the system we can't keep up with the proceedings. Try as we may, the BIG money is always a few steps ahead. While we are wrapping our head around the latest event, BM has already laid out the next couple of events, designed to shift our outrage and throw us off track.
