When Obama wins on Tuesday, there will be no other reason we can't take the House.

A shocking number of Presidential race voters don't vote downticket.

Ask Nate Silver.

I do not see it on 538 on the last 3 pages.

edit: you edited your post, I assumed you were talking about redistricting. Downticket voting isn't too hard. I can see people not voting for judges or sheriffs or something but congresspeople?

(I voted for the Libertarian because there's no Democrat on the ticket here.)

Anyway, everyone knows that many voters fail to move past the first page of a ballot.

There is no reason we can't take the House. Except one.

Because it seems like it would be a wash unless he has evidence that it goes one way or another.

I assume by your poll he didn't say that.

So my vote is still pass. I think Obama can easily win the popular vote but because of blatant gerrymandering can still lose the House.

If Obama gets a majority of the vote, and they all vote downticket, that's a majority of the House vote as well, and thus a likely majority of House elections. (Not the same thing, but related.)

House is clearly the most important election if you want to avoid a "Grand Bargain."

So this is really a dumb position to take. Also, one cannot ignore the gerrymandering that the Republicans did. They chopped up some districts so bad it's never been this bad in history.

Note: bit the bullet and voted for the Libertarian in the contest here.

They're guaranteed at least 159 seats. It's appalling what they did this go around.

(Yes, the Democrats gerrymander too but it's a response to these damn Republicans controlling so many districts and literally chopping up districts insanely.)
