GREAT NEWS: POWER BACK ON IN SOHO AND EAST VILLAGE, REST TO FOLLOW...

Just got the news, came back on about a half hour ago... literally dancing in the streets... They were calling the area without power: SoPo, South of Power...

Lot more to go but its a start. Praying for Staten Island, where I grew up until age 17...

I've been without power for over a week at the time twice since moving to Richmond, VA. It was after hurricanes Irene and Camille. Camille was awful, because so many people didn't have clean tap water either.

It was miserable in the suburbs with moderate weather. It has to be 10X worse in a city in the cold.
