I have just never found a person who offends me as much as Mitt Romney does. Hell Sarah Palin and George W. Bush combined still don't seem half as bad as Romney.
I really hope that after this election is done and Obama is on his way to his 2nd term that Mitt and his family just goes away. It seems the Romneys have made a career out of being professional candidates and we're just getting tired of him. Take those kids with you too because I don't want to see any of them running for office either.

(146,317 posts)I'm sure that most of us are quite ready for this election to be over. It's been an almost four year campaign, and I think everyone's really weary of it.
I will be overjoyed to go to my polling place and confidently vote for President Obama and the other fine Democrats on my ballot, along with No votes on two very ugly constitutional amendments in Minnesota. Then, I'll watch the returns, still confident that our side will win, at least in most areas.
After the election, I'll be very happy to stop thinking about it and take a break from politics for a while. I'm tired.
Also in MN, voting no twice.

(33,688 posts)In the immediate Twin Cities area we have generally top-flight Democrats to vote for and they nearly always win big. I will be voting a straight Democratic ticket, as per usual, and NO on those loathesome constitutional amendments.
The Dem running for State Senate in my district looks like a real up-and-comer. His name's Bobby Joe Champion and he could have a pretty bright future in state government. He's a smart young guy and has already been in the House for three terms.

The amount of money spent for these elections has become obscene.
Something must change.

(22,145 posts)goes for Paul Ryan, who seems diminished by this VP pick and not the rabid, "young gun" that was touted earlier this year. Hopefully, he loses his seat in Congress too and can go on to a career as a lobbyist.

(9,609 posts)Ever since I casted my vote 2 weeks ago today, I've been ready for this election to be over. I won't claim victory until I see it it on the news that President Obama has won re-election. In deep prayer that election night will be smooth for us.

(95,337 posts)I even managed to sit thru some of the debates they had with CHristine O'Donnell here in Delaware.
Not one of them I found as annoying as Romney. He just sounds like one of those guys on those 'Pay-as-you-go' Used Car lots - creepy!
