I see that there are some "issues" with election observers from the UN being kicked out by some states. I don't have much to say about this, except for surprise. It reminds me of the archetypal boss, whose treatment of workers is nobody's business, nobody's business but the boss's business.

Texas is one such state, but by no means the only one.
I remember growing up decades ago, watching Jimmy Carter being behind the observance of elections taking place in other countries (I don't remember the specifics). It seems so in-your-face that some decades later the tables have turned and what we thought was good some decades ago, in relation to other countries, is not so good when practiced at home.
Just how messed up our our elections? Who cares if someone watches the voters vote and 'the boss' count those votes? Election Fraud? Hey, if it's all legal and aboveboard, you've got nothing to worry about, right?

(24,411 posts)Matt Schultz, our Iowa SOS--who worked tirelessly at voter suppression and to purge the voter rolls--has threatened UN inspectors with arrest.
Interesting, because Polk County auditor (Polk County includes Des Moines, and has a very high concentration of Dem voters, as well as Hispanics.) Jamie Fitzgerald met with UN inspectors and gave them the green light to observe polling locations in Polk County.
Then Shultz threatened with arrest. Schultz has been horrible. He couldn't get the Iowa legislature to pass voter-suppression and voter-purge legislation, so he passed laws himself! He said he was doing it on an emergency basis! Judges threw out his ridiculous orders. He's a punk who has worked overtime for the Republican dons who want Iowa stolen.
He's also launched a multi-million dollar investigation into vote fraud in Iowa. I think he found 5 cases, a couple were people who were arrested when they tried to register--not when they voted. The Republicans monkeyed with the Iowa Republican caucuses too! Santorum won, but Romney was declared the winner. An Iowa precinct captain noticed that the vote count from his precinct gave Romney more votes than he actually got! The precinct captain reported the error, but Republicans attacked him!! Criminal Republicans changed the numbers that were reported into the central office, thinking that no one would notice. Romney won the Iowa cacaus and held onto that win into NH and SC--which gave Romney the solid lead in the beginning. Finally, the Iowa Republican caucus tallied the numbers, and Santorum won.
Nefarious forces for Romney have been rigging this thing since DAY ONE, starting with the Iowa caucuses.
Matt Schultz is a nazi bastard criminal, and he doesn't want the UN witnessing the crimes that he is probably planning with the election on Tuesday. He makes me sick!!
