My girlfriend and I had a bottle of champaign and a baguette. It cost 25 cents for a round trip!!

We went back and forth all evening, until the champaign was gone. Cheapest ocean voyage on the planet.

I used to live in Staten Island and work in Manhattan.
It was actually a nice commute.
A boat ride in the morning and I was ready to work, while all my coworkers were still dragging their asses. A boat ride in the evening and I left all my work problems back in Manhattan.

And a great view of the Statue of Liberty...
