(11,065 posts)All states must vote on the same day to ensure fairness for national elections (too bad primaries aren't like that though). This country has never once delayed or cancelled elections even during the civil war. Bad weather happens somewhere in the country all the time on election day, so if even war isn't a good enough reason to delay weather certainly wouldn't be, and it shouldn't. Though bad weather often makes overall voter turnout less it effects both sides of the aisle in a given area, so shouldn't really change the outcome anyway. It's those people on both sides that just aren't that enthused to go vote that may not bother in bad weather... here's to hoping more Repubs than Dems don't feel like getting off their arse to go vote bad weather or not.
