After I vote, I am buying a bottle of good bubbly wine and a bottle of very cheap scotch. Hopefully there will be no need for the cheap scotch. What ever the case, I took Wednesday off, too.

However, I am looking forward to going to my Precinct to feel the excitement and energy! I live in a very Blue state!
I actually am taking Mon-Thur off from work, just like I did in 2008.The day before will be for anticipation...the day of, vote then glue myself to the computer and TV! The 2 days after I have set aside for celebration!

be champing/chomping at the bit also be chafing at the bit
to be very keen to start an activity or to go somewhere By the time he arrived to pick us up we were champing at the bit with impatience. I'm not sure if he's ready for extra responsibility yet, but he's chafing at the bit.

Canvassers are also needed to make sure all Democrats vote. Please help if you can. No salary, flexible hours, talking to Dems, oh, and a little excercise... with a big payoff!

We have Early Voting here in Arkansas,
but I don't believe in it,
or Vote-by-Mail.

I will cast my vote in person at the polls on Voting Day,
and check in with any/all Exit Pollsters.
The Global Touchstone for a Fair Election IS the Exit Poll.

Early Voting, and especially Vote-by-Mail, invalidates or reduces the effectiveness of the Exit Poll,
and who the hell knows if your vote is counted, tabulated, and reported if you just drop it in a mail box?

There is only one way to have a transparent, verifiable, honest election:

*Vote In Person, Same Day voting, national holiday, polls open 24 hours.
(I even like the Purple Finger thing they did in Iraq!)

*Paper Ballots deposited in a transparent ballot box

*Multiple independent Exit Polls

*Ballots hand counted in public with video observation (a la casinos) live feed to the internet

*Results posted on the Voting Station door

*No ballot or ballot boxes moved from the polling station or public + video observation until the election is certified.

THEN, I might begin to feel safe about our elections.
When the elections in Venezuela and most 3rd World countries are more transparent, observable, and verifiable than OUR elections,
then we have a BIG problem.

I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy

by George M. Cohan

I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy
A Yankee Doodle, do or die
A real live nephew of my Uncle Sam
Born on the Fourth of July

I've got a Yankee Doodle sweetheart
She's my Yankee Doodle joy
Yankee Doodle came to London
Just to ride the ponies
I am the Yankee Doodle Boy
