Dan Lipinski Obama Opposition: Democratic Illinois Congressman Refuses To Endorse President

U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski is almost certainly the only Illinois Democrat congressman not endorsing President Barack Obama's re-election.

According to a Medill report, Lipinski will not be "endorsing anyone publicly" in the heated presidential race, a vague position that one pundit suggested has to do with Lipinski's precarious status when it comes to committee assignments in Washington.

Lipinski is no stranger to holding controversial positions inconsistent with that of a traditional Chicago-area Democrat. The congressman, who represents the state's 3rd Congressional District on the Southwest Side, was the only Illinois Democrat to vote "no" on the historic "Obamacare" health reform bill.

Lipinski has consistently reiterated his opposition to the Affordable Care Act since taking that vote in 2010.

This summer, following the Supreme Court's upholding of the law, Lipinski depended his opposition because he still felt it "is unaffordable, cuts Medicare, does not do enough to lower the soaring cost of health care, and would allow federal funding for abortion."

1. Lipinski Is A Major Asshole....

he doesn't deserve to be a Congressman let alone a Democrat. I'm glad I've been redistricted and he is not my congressman anymore. My guy Luis Gutiérrez now. It will be a pleasure to vote for Gutiérrez.

Unfortunately - Lipinski continues to get re-elected as he has the right name for his district which is heavily populated with Poles. I've been hoping that a strong Dem challenger would unseat him in the primaries - but it never happens. Lipinski is a coward. He can't take positions and has no courage of his convictions. He usually takes the chicken way out and doesn't commit. He's doing it again by not endorsing his party's choice.

3. Everyone in my neighborhood has a sign

in their yard for Lipinski because that's who the precinct captain says to vote for. Nobody reads up on this guy. I always have political signs in my yard because I live right across the street from our poll. I promptly took down the Lipinski sign that was placed on my lawn and tossed it in the garbage and informed the precinct captain DO NOT put another one up. So far I've gotten 2 of my neighbors to also toss their sign once I filled them in.

Our district is is HEAVILY Polish. He banks on the Polish vote. He's only in office because his daddy got him in.

The Romney supporter at the end of the block has a huge Romney sign on his lawn. Right next to it is a Lipinski sign. That should tell people something.

Lipinski is a piece of shit.
