Was a key player in the production of "Executive Action", the suppressed film that outlined what really happened in Dallas in Nov 1963

In 1970, Gregory Peck seriously considered running against Ronald Reagan to try to keep Ronnie from winning a second term as governor. He decided against it at the last minute, despite heavy pressure from the Dem. Party. Interesting alternative history of the world if he had won.

Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were among the few brave Hollywood stars who stood up to Nixon and the other Blacklisters on the HUAC, and the pissants like Reagan who testified against their colleagues. These two had a lot to lose, but didn't forget either their consciences or their friends during the worst of the Red Scare.

Not to mention the priceless Betty White. And so was "Mr. Song and Dance", the inimitable Gene Kelly.

And that pic on the right is the final definition of "sultry."

She served 3 terms in the House and ran for the Senate in 1950 and was smeared by Tricky Dick as "The Pink Lady".

She was also an actress and opera singer. Married to popular actor Melvyn Douglas.
