Every thread there mentioning the storm has someone claiming the MSM is using Sandy to distract America from what should be the #1 story in the nation.
The massive Obama coverup of the Bangazi Attack.
Here is their order of events:
Obama stole credit for Seal Team 6 taking out Osama bin Laden. (MAYBE, there are still Freepers who believe that's all a lie)
Obama declares victory in the War On Terror and announces it's all over.
Obama pulls security forces from embassies all over the world now that we are at peace.
Muslims see this, laugh and then launch a massive attack on our embassy in Bagazi and slaughter our unprotected diplomat.
Obama tries to claim the attack is NOT related to terrorism because he claimed the War On Terror is now over. Instead he tries to pin it on unrelated minor protests over an anti-Muslim film.
Obama STILL refuses to admit America is still under attack by the Muslim World and this has emboldened our enemies which could hit us here in the states at any time thanks to Obama's refusal to accept the reality that we are still at war and Obama should be impeached for putting Americans at home and abroad in danger with his notion that the world is full of rainbows and butterflies and people holing hands and singing.
You find yourself asking if these people ever leave the house.

(21,148 posts)probably covering Bengazi, he turned over and yes they were talking about it The biggest news event is Sandy and they were pushing their propaganda over and over for nothing. If the republicans retain the house you can bet they will try to impeach President Obama over Bengazi mark my words.

(3,436 posts)It was like I was in some sort of bizarro world. Massive devastation in the NE U.S., and all Fraud Insanity and gang was talking about was the Benghazi "Cover Up". I could only stomach it for about 30 or so seconds. I couldn't imagine how much my brain would be damaged if that was my only "news" source.

(3,231 posts)who keeps on daily with the Benghazi posts. three times since yesterday. People have stopped responding to him and he hasn't gotten the clue. After the election I'll put him on ignore - I keep him on hoping some of my lefty friends keep on him but they've lost interest after weeks of this. I promised myself not to post politically except for gay rights - to me that's not political.

(32,723 posts)They keep FOX "News" on constantly and believe the rest of the media is a 24 hour Obama love fest.
Tune into HSN and you can buy Obama figurines to put in the shrine you set up to worship,...tune into "This Old House" and hear how wonderful it is to have Obama give you free money to put up solar panels that cost thousands and can charge the free cell phones he handed out,...tune into Bass Masters and hear how Obama cleaned the lake,....tune into the Fashion TV and hear them gush over whatever Michelle was last seen wearing,...tune into Entertainment Tonight and hear the Hollywood A List talking about how great Obama has been for the nation...
Quick! Flip back to FOX "News"!!!

(4,835 posts)Even if Pesident Obama did something wrong (which is unlikely) it comes nowhere near that debacle under Reagan.
Then there's the fact that they never did find WMDs in Iraq for junior.
One of the few things I commend Cut & Run Ronnie for is the way he handled the attack on the Marine Barracks that killed 249 Americans in 1983.
He pulled completely OUT of Lebanon.
He said he was NOT going to waste American lives in a country where we are not wanted.
Best thing he ever did,
and I wish other American Presidents would follow his lead.
You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their rhetoric, promises, or excuses.

(50,557 posts)The USMC told Reagan there was no safe place in Lebanon to garrison troops, so the U.S. should bring a carrier up, house the Marines on it and use helicopters to bring troops ashore for duty. Reagan wanted to use our guys living on land as a show of strength and resolve, and gave the terrorists an easy victory. He wouldn't allow the guard force to load weapons or display heavy weapons. Give Marines the opportunity to defend themselves and they invariably pick the biggest weapons they can find.
Just after the attack, Reagan picked some relatively harmless country and invaded it to cheer people up after the dead Marines.
Reagan was a scumbag and did nothing good.

(39,909 posts)...in countries where we are NOT wanted
IS a "good thing",
and I will continue to praise him for that epiphany
and encourage other American Presidents to follow his lead.
Bring. Them. Home. NOW!
The American Military has only ONE legitimate purpose,
the defense of the United States,
NOT making the World safe for the Global Resource Extraction Corporations, The World Bank, and the IMF.

(4,835 posts)My point is that presidents make mistakes. It is difficult (in my opinion) for right-wingers to be critical of mistakes made in Benghazi; without comparing them to past mistakes where America lives were lost.
The Beirut debacle just happened to have some common elements. If a person were interested in a serious analysis of foreign acts of terror; it would not be unreasonable to compare the two incidents.

(39,909 posts)Anyone who preaches that all American Embassies, consulates, bases, or offices in foreign countries should be absolutely safe is a whack job.
Those who try to politicize an international tragedy are scum bags.
Truth is , nowhere is absolutely safe from a terrorist attack.
Not even New York City (as 9-11 taught us), much less some 3rd World Embassy or Consulate.
Not only CAN it happen,
it WILL happen again as long as the USA is adamant about making new enemies every single day.

(982 posts)I refuse to listen to these assholes because we were not allowed to say anything bad about Bush when he was responsible for the deaths of thousands on 9/11, killing millions of innocents in wars based on that lie, subverting our Constitution....all the wasteful spending was because of Bush's lack of action.
Where were the fighter jets?
One hour after a plane hit the WTC, Rumsfeld was still in a meeting and had no idea what happened until a plane hit the pentagon.
They have no excuse for a thousand things about that day, and I am still really fucking pissed off that they murdered thousands of our fellow Americans then used it to murder more.
They used it to loot our nation, destroy the Constitution and then blame it on Obama.
I am so fucking sick of these hypocrites.
Spitfire of ATJ
(32,723 posts)If you want to go into domestic attacks that's another matter as most that Bush sited were bogus.
Copycats were another matter. Right after 9/11 when word came of cutting the throat of the pilot some nut tried to cut the throat of a bus driver. After the anthrax attack there were fake powder reports popping up all over.
