Well some lovely person stole my Obama-Biden yard signs last night. I reported

the theft to the police department at 6:30AM this morning. I think it was the influx of people from the 'burbs' into our quaint, downtown historical district for trick or treat.

6. my kerry sign in 2004 lasted less than 24 hours; here's what i did;

1) bought those green, heavy duty metal stakes that have holes running up the center of them. i sunk them 2 feet into the ground.
2) wove the metal poles of the kerry sign through the holes in the stakes. that sucker aint never moving
3) coated the sign in a thin sheen of vaseline

the next day you could see where the angry rethug had first tried to rip out the sign, but it wouldn't move. then he tried to punch through the plastic, but the vaseline preventing his fists from getting any purchase on the sign. the wire frame was little bent but i just bent it back into place.

he must have walked away pissed and greasy from the vaseline. the sign survived
