Latest Pole Gives Election to Romney

Lech Walesa that is

Even though his country is behind Obama like virtually all international countries.

Poland's legendary dissident, Lech Walesa, gave a strong endorsement to Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican contender and declared disappointment with President Barack Obama's record.

Romney represents everything Walesa fought against, its a shame he's forgotten who his enemies were in his old age.

How can the man who founded and led the first trade union in the soviet block, broke the back of communist government in Poland, and was the head of a party with the name Solidarity (with its underlying principles) could even tolerate being in the same room with Romney?

Just incredible!

She keeps saying, "I'm not running for anything," yet we see more of her than we do of him...

I'm no fasionista, and usually I don't really pay much attention to this kind of stuff. Having said that, I gotta say that dress she's wearing is almost as ugly as an endorsement for her husband. I hope she didn't pay much for it.

we talked with two groups of young, progressive college students on our tirp. The shine had come off Lech by then to these people. They actually compared him to Bush, because of his verbal gaffs, they said he was a good labor leader but didn't have the skills or ability to do much of anything else. I was stunned as Lech is sort of a progressive hero here. Maybe those "kids" were right.
