He sounds like a kid trying to talk the teacher into curving the test.

(28,017 posts)Trying so fucking hard to push Romney these last few days.
That wasn't news reporting or analysis, it was, "How can we talk people into voting Romney?"

(19 posts)I think Todd was a protege of Tim Russert ( a Dem- but an "honest broker" and teriffic interviewer.
So, is Todd leaning to Romney.. or is it a a case of the media making a story to maintain viewership/ratings? 'Hard to say.
Yet, I too am pissed when it sounds like the Pres is dissed.
If you want to flip out..? turn on Fox.. O'Reilly was yukkin' it up with that toe- suckin' fool- dick morris as they predicted a Romney landslide.

(25,415 posts)Not really swayed toward Obama or Romney. He is Mr. "Conventional Wisdom" middle of the road mushiness. I don't think he is some ultra right winger or anything. Not fond of him but I am not convinced he is a total Repub. Probably an independent that could go either way toward Dems or Repubs.
Dick Morris makes me laugh. Do the Faux viewers really believe this? They live in their own delusional reality.

(135,425 posts)Tim Russert had a BUSH button under his tuxedo lapel at the 2000 Al Smith dinner.
He was a protege of Jack "Fuck The Poor, Stuff that Social Justice shit up yer ass" Welch," Mister "Greed is Good." Once he started playing ball with Welch, his salary jumped by leaps and bounds and he could afford to send kids to college and buy a vacation home on Martha's Vineyard with the really, really, REALLY rich people. Tim Russert was one of those Catholics who thought the abortion issues were way more important than the social justice imperatives of the religion. He thought money was more important than fairness. When he became caught up in that Plame mess and his role became public, his fear was palpable.
He lost his way LONG before his swift, mysterious and untimely death.
If Upchuck Todd was a protege of Russert, he was, by extension, a protege of the Gordon Gekko of the General Electric/NBC franchise, truly the biggest asshole in the world, Jack Welch.

(4,220 posts)These frigging pundits getting all Randolph Scott every time Russert's name is brought up or is said has been bothering me too!
The guy did have a Bush button on the inside of his jacket at the Al Smith dinner, am I dreaming or wasn't there a photo of this???
"Like our late, great friend, the masterful Tim Russert would say..."
If I hear that one more time on MSNBC I''m gonna puke. I am waiting for someone new there to say:
Hey, I never met the guy, but didn't the late, great Tim Russert say...
Give me a break!!!

(31,706 posts)...Chuckles. The guy believes he's the reincarnation of Timmeh Russert...the ultimate political guru. He claims to know more about everything than everybody and we should hang on every word he says. The neat thing of being a teevee "anal-ist" is that you can be constantly wrong and either ignore the facts or spin it due to "unforseen circumstances".
For months chuckles kept saying how Virginia was the key state...and now it isn't...so it's outta sight, outta mind. The dude's into the bloodsport game...MSNBC as ESPN and not a very good handicapper...
