Excerpted from Politico: Tea Party conservatives are getting their very own news site.
'The Tea Party News Network, self-described as the only trusted news source and the antidote to mainstream media bias, is already live but will announce its launch tomorrow morning, with plans to start live video on election day. TPNN claims to have a war room of 40-plus volunteers who will operate out of the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, and has established partnerships with the Talk Radio Network and radio host Rusty Humphries, who will be co-anchoring the election night coverage.'

Hope the righties don't hurt themselves or have strokes/heart failures.

(35,699 posts)Even the hacks on our local Repuke AM radio show were saying this morning how stupid it was and that it was just a huge waste of money and time.
Stupid tea (douche) baggers.

(133 posts)The multibillionaires can buy whatever they want and create propaganda machines. As they destroy unions, interfere in elections, and manipulate private and foreign industry, who knows how soon they will have their 4th Reich established? The likes of us may be reduced to house servents before long if we're lucky enough to surviving at all.

They don't call conservatives "tightwads" for nothing and people don't continue to work for free.

(133 posts)They fact that people volunteer underscores their fanaticism, seems to explain why practically half the country will be voting for Romney against their own best interest. It's plainly irrational and the gazillionaires know it and use it - just how they olderate in churches - no?

(33,144 posts)Given the fanatical nuttery we've seen over the past dozen or so years.
But, their current Sugar Daddy is going to tire of them quickly and begin to see them as a drain on his musty old vault. When that happens, it's over for this current manifestation of Right Wing bile.

Or both. Adelson wants news spun the way HE likes it, which doesn't always mesh with RupertVision, and he has enough money to blow a few molecules of it toward a vanity network.also, Murdoch's days as king of NewsCorp are numbered, whether by the Grim Reaper or the Grim Prosecutor. There's no guarantee that whoever runs it afterward will have quite the same ardor for political self-dealing.

Yep...looks like Adelson's gonna keep throwing away his money (fine with me) and hopefully he'll hire lots of blowhards who will suck his money. Nothing gathers more gadflies than an open checkbook. Sheldon's done this in Israel with his free newspaper. I guess if you don't like reality and you have loads of money...you create your own.
