Reagan: "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

I'm sure that's the way the people affected by Hurricane Sandy feel.

so one could plausibly argue that there are actually eleven words in that sentence.

But I disagree: to me the three most terrifying words in current times are "Romney-Ryan Administration."

Reagan is proof that Josef Goebbels was right when he said if you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it.

The things I hear attributed to Reagan are polar opposites of what he actually did. He was not a fiscal conservative. He did not shrink the size of government. He did not end the Cold War. He was not a family values conservative. He raised taxes more than he cut them.

But, thanks to the RW noise machine that controls the MSM and much of the other media, Reagan is upheld as some sort of icon of how to properly run a country, when he was nothing but a glorified cue card reading actor with early stages of Alzheimer's.
