When the AFA is little more than a replica of the Heritage Foundation's (?) 90's health care plan, and the right wing is calling THAT...RomneyCare (essentially) when they are calling THAT "socialism", we are not divided. We are deluded.
When plain as the nose on your face climate change shows up, and some of us call that "a hoax", we do not need separation. We need *INDIGNATION*.
When some of us are taking family values advice from a thrice divorced hilly billy heroin addict, we do NOT need to 'look the other way'. We need to face those mother fuckers down.
Otherwise, they just continue to breed their -pathy. And it *always* happens at the expense of the downtrodden. I mean, having a refrigerator now makes one *RICH*?? Are you fucking kidding me? No, I love the dems in Texas and Oklahoma and Kansas and WEST FUCKING VIRGINIA too much to just abandon and separate.
I will NOT divorce. I will engage. I will INTERVENE. This is OUR Country, and we need to take it BACK. President Obama is no anomaly. He is the new Gold Standard.

(32,704 posts)When simple truths are pointed out to them, they consider that hateful. Bothering them with facts is considered rude and disrespectful. I live in GA now, but if the country were to split then hopefully I would be allowed to move back to the blue part. Two years ago, I would have thought a split was nuts; but now, there doesn't seem to be a way around it.

(12,448 posts)There is a very good reason for divorce in these circumstances. When one partner is adamant and absolutely opposed to compromise, there there can be no reconciliation, merely capitulation to the unreasonable demands of that partner or separation from them.

(12,448 posts)They are adamant. They are completely willing, some even anxious, to let the whole nation burn rather than to come to some reconciliation. I simply don't understand how, after watching these maniacs get progressively worse with every cycle, people can still pretend that we are dealing with fellow Americans, or even rational human beings.
They. Will. Not. Accept. Any. Solution.
They will sacrifice our future, our lives, our nation,.. any and everything in order to impose their way, which will result in a nightmare that they cannot even imagine for all of us.
When a disease has been allowed to progress too far, there is sometimes no choice but to sacrifice a part of the body in order to save the life.
The next time one of these lunatics suggests secession, I say let them secede. They do not bring value to this union that is in any way comparable to the costs they impose.
