Jerry Sandusky Moved to Prison Housing Death Row Inmates (Solitary For Life)

Convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky essentially will spend the rest of his life in solitary confinement.

Sandusky, 68, was transferred today to a maximum-security state prison in southwestern Pennsylvania where he will be confined to his cell for all but one hour a day as he serves his 30-to-60-year sentence.

The former Penn State football coach will be in “protective custody” at State Correctional Institution at Greene, which is outside Waynesburg, Greene County, and houses many of the state’s death-row inmates.

Prison officials assigned Sandusky to restricted housing like this out of concern for his safety from other inmates.

I would not wish this on anyone.

his actions.

(Which he still maintains were not wrong).

I think its awesome. Couldn't be more befitting a sentence to fit the crimes.

Death Row is the most secure section of every prison. If sandusky were to be housed in any other unit ... the warden, inside of a week, the warden would have to explain sandusky's death.

Of course not! Nobody should be raped, not Sandusky's victims, not the monster himself, NOBODY!

But he will be... Trustees will still have access to him, and there will be plenty of COs who are willing to let a security breach happen, in the misguided idea that a child molester deserves rape. I know people who have spent time in solitary confinement in maximum security prisons, and they have told me that it happens even under the strictest monitoring or supervision.

The truth is...most prison are so overcrowded, the guards CANNOT control things, even under the strictest of conditions. Note, I said CANNO You cannot load a cell with too many of the more devious people, and expect to control things. Add to this that most gangs have chains of command that would be the envy of many Militaries, with chains that extend within and without the prison, to the very laundered money that peoplelike Bain Capital helped to clean. There are many gang officers that go to prison expressly because it is the actual seat of power for the gang.

The bottom line is, if they want him, they have him.

we need to keep in mind that most of us working people don't even get that every day. Just mentioning that before someone is critical of the cruel way he is being treated.
