Are they still standing by him? I no longer associate with republicans but I'd love to know what they're thinking about all the dishonest jeep ads and his flip flopping on FEMA.

(2 posts)....(after reading for years), is to say my father-in-law STILL thinks that Romney "understands" the economy FAR better than the President, and anyone that disagrees with him is "just plain ignorant." Needless to say, we're not discussing politics again until after the election.

(978 posts)Sounds like my father too. He voted for Obama in 2008 but now calls him a silver tongue snake and won't vote for him again.

(978 posts)I kicked them all (well mostly) off FaceBook yesterday. There are just a few left and NONE of them have said a thing
One posted something up about an IRS form with the new ACA info on it complaining about information people have to put in the form in 2014.
My take is they will ignore the Sandy thing and post other things up as a distraction.
Kind of like the way they have completely ignored taking out bin Laden.

I live in a very, very blue area. I am not worried about how any of them votes.

(5,856 posts)with a freeper who has no qualms about being for Mitt. He still thinks he's gonna win. No one else talks (types) politics, so he is left to make his one line assertions alone whenever the possibility of showing his true stripes appears. I look forward to seeing his mood on Wednesday. Not because he is voting for Robme, although that may be enough, but because he is obnoxious.

(1,117 posts)I was on facebook earlier, a Republican friend of mine posted this today:
(before we lost power due to "Sandy" we watched the movie "2016" what an eye opener. If you have a chance to rent and watch this movie before election day it might just help you see where this great country of ours is headed. watch it before you vote. the first part is a lot of background and a bit boring but the middle and end are great. it will absolutely make you wonder.)
My response:
Or you can watch the news of the destruction in NJ and get a dose of reality. The reality of what a President should do in the midst of destruction. Caring, compassion, making sure that the Federal Gov. is doing all it can to help all our citizens in times of need. Now is not a time for bipartisan bickering, it is a time to come together and be American. This is no movie!
She will vote Republican only because they are a Republican. Doesn't matter who. For the life of me I can't figure out why because she is voting against her own best interests.
