He will be the GOP's goat for the next four or more years.

(872 posts)...because he's a fucking liar.
Whether he runs or not is moot, though, because the GOP has a history of never nominating a loser, again.

(872 posts)But that was 40 years ago. If Wrongney loses this one, and it's starting to look like he will, there's no way the GOP will nominate him, again.
Same probably holds for any Democrat who loses once.
Losing a POTUS election puts a stink on a candidate they can't overcome, the next time.

(11,229 posts)Nixon was a dirtbag, but at least he had a spine and some beliefs.
Romney is truly an empty suit.

(6,160 posts)I am so sick of that boorish lying lout.
Definition of LOUT: an awkward brutish person
Kinda fits Willard Mitt Romney. Perhaps they should put his picture in the dictionary right next to the word lout.

(3,784 posts)Won't it be nice in about a week when you don't have to hear that asshole give another speech EVER AGAIN? He'll be relegated to a footnote in history. A fucking punchline. I'm going to be watching his concession speech and laughing my ass off. Do you think he'll be contrite like McCain was, or do you think he'll take a few parting shots?

(5,105 posts)I don't care what that asshole thinks NOW.
Hoping he has to move to Dubai with the rest of the traitors, like Cheeeeeeney's company.
Then, hopefully, they will either be bitten by camels or end up targets of MOOOOSLIMS on a rampage. Or, that giant tower will fall over. Or, they will have to spend the rest of their sorry lives there and be blocked from coming back to America for fear of prosecution for treason.

(10,857 posts)Mitt Romney is the worst Presidential candidate I have ever seen. Worse, even, than GWB, who was by far the worst I had seen up to that time.
You want to know how bad of a candidate I think Romney really is? I think he's so bad that he's going to lose the 2014 mid-term elections for the Republicans, too.
I think that Romney's reluctance to release his tax returns, and the relentless scrutiny that has invited, has given enough people a glimpse into his finances to guess that Romney has been breaking the law, flagrantly, for a long, long time. Someone has probably already blown the whistle on him.
He's going to be investigated, and I am quite serious when I say this: by the summer of 2014 Mitt Romney is either going to be on trial for criminal tax evasion, or he will have left the country entirely and will be a fugitive from the law. The mere mention of his name in association with the Republican Party will cost them votes, and his name will be everywhere.
Mitt Romney isn't done yet. He is going to intertwine the concepts of criminal behavior, malevolent dishonesty, and unhinged greed so inextricably with the Republican Party that he's not only going to lose this election for himself and deny the Republicans an opportunity to regain the Senate this year, but he's going to hand a supermajority in the Senate and flip the House for the Democrats in 2014.
He has carried greed to its ultimate--and ultimately just--conclusion, and he will be best remembered for accidentally making the world a better place by being such an awful person.

(7,394 posts)And perhaps 'cheaty liar loser', and 'failcrook' as well.
That sort of thing. He'll be a handy single-word description for all things justifiably loserish.
