Too dangerous right now. It was moved to next Wed in our county.

for "economic" reasons, Newark Mayor Booker more or less cancelled Christmas two
years ago-- NO holiday lights put up by the city.

Kids should have their Halloween, and I'm glad Christie understands this.

If something like this happened in late December, would they move Christmas too? It's good for the kids of course, but is it necessary to have an official order for this?

We still have downed electric wires. You don't want kids tempted to trick or treat right now.

It's a smart thing to do. Instead of having to tell them they can't trick or treat for reasons A-Z, parents can tell kids the governor changed the holiday.

If being a small child trying to figure out religion taught me anything, it is that the masses on All Souls Day (November 1) are what puts all those ghosts back in the ground... it's like Ave Maria after Night on Bald Mountain in Fantasia.

So putting Halloween after All Souls Day is asking for trouble.

Zombie apocalypse.

MIHOP.

It's just not safe for anyone to be out walking around at night in the dark, especially the kids.

Rescheduling Halloween is a very good idea.
