OK, I think Obama had it anyway.
But Sandy is the icing on the cake.
The cherry on the sundae.
The final straw.
(Insert your own analogy here: _______________ )
Rmoney is now in an impossible position.
Obama has suspended his campaign to......
Be The President of the United States.
He's laid down the gauntlet.
"This is not the time for politics."
No, it's not.
So this leaves Rmoney...where?
Nowhere, that's where.
The more he continues to campaign, the worse he looks.
He's not fighting against a guy who can't fight back.
He's fighting against a guy who WON'T fight back because he has MUCH more important things to do.
Rmoney is down for the count.

a terrible tragedy and my thoughts are with all of those who have had to endear the hardships. But our Mr. President showed everyone how a true president acts. If there was any doubt out there, there should be none now. Yes i think Sandy was - the butter on the.

(8,377 posts)Remember, the McCain campaign collapsed and never recovered after the 4 days of Bush meltdown. McCain said he was suspending his campaign to go solve the national crisis, and he bizarre behavior doomed him. Without the meltdown coming at that time, we might have elected that senile old coot.
And likewise for Sandy. There is never a good time for a horrible storm, but go talk to your God (or the oil companies) about that one. Sandy made it perfectly clear who was the Presidential one and who was the lying billionaire. He had tot suspend his lying about Jeep for a day in order to put on a sham of a "relief" program which was nothing but a cynical photo-op.
Considering that so many conservatives people in a nanny God that determines all things in this life, it follows that it is their God's will that this storm come at the time that it did in the manner that it did to show the country which candidate God wants us to vote for. I'm just sayin', it has happened twice now.

(6,096 posts)just saw GOD's Will...yet..it's difficult to say that because I do not like the tragedy we are faced with in those 8 states involved and don't think God's intentions were to cause death and destruction...however, it's here and gone and.....
If it took a major act of nature/and God..so be it....
Romney looked like a fruitcake at his fund raiser...and there were only about 20 people there, if you all noticed......probably staffers for the photo op.

(34,845 posts)It can be dangerous to make assumptions based on feelings.
I don't disagree with your conclusion -I think Romney has already lost- but I think it's a good idea to not 'fall in love' with how we think the electorate SHOULD feel.

Romney has absolutely no role to play and no way to pretend he's doing anything when he can't.
