The Great Right Wing Freakout

The Great Right Wing Freakout

Newt Gingrich is in fact a communist, business-hating Maoist. At least, that’s what you’d have gathered if you watched cable news today. The GOP establishment was in full meltdown mode over his attacks on Mitt Romney’s time at the private equity firm, Bain Capital. They clearly fear it’s going to give the Democrats a bipartisan gloss on banging Bain come the general election and they have one priority: shut Newt down. Now.

Great VIDEO and the rest:

snippets (from redstate):

Time for us as Americans to take our liberty back and think for ourselves. We make better decisions anyway when left to our own discernment.Right or left it sounds like we may becoming to dependent on others opinions. The difference between a suggestion and an order is when the suggestion isn’t taken is our opinion still respected?

Those of us who are paying attention to what is happening in our country are desperate to have a President who believes in America and her people. Rush knows Perry is a capitalist and to say he’s acting like Castro, to me is sounding like the left. He says Newt and Perry are sounding like they are libs, what about him? Only a lib would would equate Perry with Castro. He went on a 10 min rant over tearing them down. It makes me ill.”

one comparison it has never occurred to me to make.

What's a "lib" anyway? Libertine? Liberal? Libertarian? Librarian?

Somehow I can't see any of those equating Perry & Castro, so I find myself baffled here.

10. Boy, Angry Newt has lashed out and I believe he did so without permission from his masters

That's going to bite him back I believe.

Newt's got to be pretty damn furious to have so seriously damaged the PTB's anointed candidate - Romney. The Bain information is a gigantic sword for the Dems and Obama will wield it masterfully I presume. Angry Newt may get permanently chucked out of the super secret club that allows the biggest blowhards access to such stupendous post-electoral office dollars.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy....

Not just fun to watch, but helpful and productive too.

Suddenly the True Believers are confronted by their heroes throwing around notions that their little brains were not programmed to handle--a capitalist being evil? Newt of the Contract on America saying things that could have come from a Blue-doggish Dem? I suppose they don't technically have cognitive dissonance because that would imply cognition, but at least all their little conditioned responses are being painfully jerked around & threatened.

would call him, but we'd get no traction for doing so. It's delicious. No pub would give a rat's ass about any truths we'd put out there. But Newt calls Romney evil, and their little minds are all in an uproar!

I have to say that I am enjoying myself immensely.

9. It seemed like a crack last month; it's looking like a crevasse that could open to a 3rd party.

It's looking like if Romney gets the nomination there will be enough on the other side of that crevasse to build a third party. Is Newt that angered? Or will they get back in line?

What I'm having trouble wrapping my head around is that any big-bux Superpac would fund stuff like this for Newtie. Migod, they're not only pulling down the corporate candidate, but they're exposing their own asses in doing so. Why would they want to get their base (Migod, their BASE!!) thinking about heartless corporate actions?
