NY, NJ and CT get alot of press but we forget that WV got hit really hard too

No it's not underwater and it's not a high population area. But instead of rain, West Virginia was pounded by blankets upon blankets of snow.

I hope that all the WV DUers are safe and warm and that we keep them in mind during this recovery.

Or maybe they can go ask their coal bosses what to do.

Of course we are used to being misrepresented as ignorant, toothless, moonshiners who dig coal. And here I have the cleanest dirt floor in three counties. Sigh.

And I am way down in the Southwest part of the state, Lincoln County. It was probably the wettest, heaviest snow I've ever seen. Six inches generally around here, but it knocked down a helluva lot of trees. I mean an amazing amount. I had a forty foot Bradford Pear snap in two at the trunk and fall across my driveway. But all is well.

And to think there are kids to get to school, animals to feed, stuff that has to done regardless of how deep the snow is. Stay safe (and warm).
