After Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Paul Ryan was accused of forcing his way into a charity soup kitchen and doing nothing two weeks ago, youd think hed be a little more careful when it comes to photo ops, especially when his campaign is in charge of the charity event. And yet!
In Hudson, the packing was proceeding too quickly, and the supporters wearing red Team Wisconsin t-shirts were given the order to slow down and then to stop to be sure there were still goods to be packed when Ryan entered.
One by one the boxes were filled and loaded into a waiting U-Haul, and then they stopped to wait for the candidate.
Guys, the point of the photo op is make Ryan look like a helpful, down-to-earth guy pitching in where hes needed. When hes not needed and when the press can tell hes not needed it doesnt work. Maybe just stop trying to force your Randian vice-presidential candidate to do charity work when it clearly doesnt make sense to him? Or maybe stop pretending your campaign events are charity drives.

I guess it is hard for him to pack up boxes of food since 47% of the storm victims feel entitled to a little Christian charity.

(25,415 posts)I mean the book on campaign 101 says simple things like putting together events well is basic stuff. Romney, Ryan and their people are incompetent. And Ryan so obviously does not care about the charity he is doing.

Give it up Paul. It's just not believable.
