I know where the canned goods Rmoney collected are going

It's not to the Red Cross.

My wife is an ex-Mormon.

The Mormon church runs collection centres for canned goods. They keep a supply on hand to feed the poor people in their Ward, to support Ward members who may need short-term help and to help in catastrophe.

He's re-stocking one of the collection centres.

Drug them out for the photo-op? Somebody mentioned a lot of Kraft stuff. Maybe he just got them to donate crap. Would individuals bringing in cans all bring the same stuff?
