Hoboken NJ 50,000 people; no power, live wires

family there - really worried.

Mayor asking for National Guard to come = she has been asking for about 24 hours. They haven't come yet.

let's see how many and how helpful they can be. So glad this story was covered by Anderson Cooper/Gary Tuchman and Rachel Maddow.

I am very sad about the boardwalks, the sausage stands and the beach homes along the shore being destroyed. I am terrified for the 20,000 PEOPLE trapped in buildings in Hoboken.
