17. Steele seems very conflicted as of late

When he has to defend Republican positions he doesn't have his heart in it, lacks confidence, and often gets irritable in the process. I recall that he wasn't always this way. As a castoff moderate, his party's overt racism and dog whistle messaging must be having an impact. Give him time, he just might pull a switcheroo.
