I actually thought that when you turned your back on the Biden cabinet members as they entered the chamber at tonight's State of the Union address, that was as good as it was likely to get. But, no! You had only just begun!
As the evening progressed, your behavior provided a vivid depiction of what your party is now all about. Most would agree that your heckling and shouting over President Biden as he spoke of his deceased son was the clearest example of the total lack of decency and class which now characterize what it means to be a "Republican".
Thank you! Thank you! The video footage you've provided for our political ads is better than anything we could have scripted!

(15,530 posts)Most of my voting life I felt like I had an ability to choose to vote for candidates based on qualifications, not purely party.
With this brand of (r)epuglicon there are no choices anymore. You either vote for crazy (r) or anybody else who is sane.

I was going to say the same. Psychiatrists say they would rather deal with full blown mental illness as in schizophrenia or manic depression rather than personality disorder.
It is often the result of childhood trauma. Theres nothing much that can be done.
When they are pushing 90, these two will still behaving as if they are twelve.

(32,106 posts)When Biden was talking about Iraq War veterans who got cancer due to chemical exposure, I heard someone heckle the president and get rebuked by the audience. I had no idea who disrupted, only when I checked Twitter did I learn it was one of the usual suspects. Joe Wilson's "You lie!" in that 2009 special address on health care sounds quite civil in comparison.

(5,555 posts)I could picture Lauren Boebert and MTG lined up at the bathroom sinks, furiously scrubbing their upper lips and nostrils to remove all evidence of Matts special fun dust. Matt Gaetz just cluelessly walks in like Tyron Biggums, spewing the delicious forbidden rock dust into the chamber air.

(5,555 posts)Plot twist: Theyre both involved in a Kaufman-esque parody of Conservativism, with the goal of destroying the Republican Party from within. Their outbursts were coordinated by Chuck Schumer, who flashed a secret signal across the aisle for when it was time to look stupid.

(47,833 posts)with so many elected idiots. For decades, republicans catered to usually apolitical people just to get their votes. They repeatedly made promises that they never intended to keep, until one day the base woke up and finally started electing their fellow idiots to go to DC and state governments. Meanwhile, there are enough grifters and scam artists to step in and take advantage of the gullible and misinformed.

(2,635 posts)to Madam Speaker Pelosi tearing up, at least supposedly, Trump's speech? We've been here before is all I am saying and do you think for a moment that there is a republican who cares? (although they should) at this point I don't think anyone acknowledged their horrific behavior
