1. The polls say you're wrong --

Latest SC polling -- Romney up 2 points over Gingrich, Santorum substantially behind them both.

The pundits say if Romney wins SC, it's all over, which I tend to agree with at this point. The only way the drama can go on, it seems, is if Newty can get a win in SC.

(Relatedly, SC does reserve some few delegates for the winner of each Congressional district, but the majority of the delegates go to the absolute winner, so this is not one of those proportional states.)

Gingrich seems to be the only one with any shot at beating Romney and even that seems like a long shot.
