Does Sandy hurt Obama or Rmoney more? (Original Post) SCliberal091294 Oct 2012 OP
It might have a slight affect on voting in the Northeast, which could hurt us just a bit....... AverageJoe90 Oct 2012 #1
Actually it could hurt us badly in Pa still_one Oct 2012 #4
Maybe to a point, but not to the point where Romney scores a win or anything. AverageJoe90 Oct 2012 #16
I hope it isn't even an issue, but it could, especially with the chaos it potentially could still_one Oct 2012 #19
Not gonna cause a Romney win by itself in Pa., though. Not at this point. AverageJoe90 Oct 2012 #20

However, though, if Sandy does cause a huge problem, there may actually be a major opprotunity for Obama to point out that the Republicans ordered some steepish cuts to NOAA and the National Weather Service, and with that, there could be yet another series of nails in the RMoney/Lyin' campaign's coffin. And they're already floundering now!

However, I do believe it may be possible that they might choose this time to try to pull more voter-suppression antics though......they love taking advantage of stuff like this.

The only good thing is that this monster is expected to do bad things in central PA, too. The Susquehanna may flood.

Nonetheless, I hope that the campaign urges people to do early voting tomorrow, Sunday and Monday before this thing hits.

So Obama can dole out federal money to the affected states; Romney can either agree with that decision or oppose disaster aid to voters a week before an election.

I do think George Bush's sudden generosity to the state of Florida after Hurricane Andrew helped save that state for him 1992.

GHW Bush, for all his many faults, wasn't all that bad when it came to this stuff. Mittens? I wouldn't put it past him to gaffe endlessly.

It may slow down voter turnout, but equally. Doesn't affect electoral votes.

Obama voters tend to live more in cities where getting to the polls is not likely to be affected so much.
