went with my parents as a family the first time we could vote. We considered it a momentous occasion. Congrats on raising obviously very bright children.

Helped my son get registered as he's a busy high school senior. Another Obama vote. I remember how exciting it was for me to vote the first time. I took all three kids with me, inside the oath, to vote for Barack Obama in 2008. A momentous occasion.

No matter what happens, for the rest of his life, he'll know he was on the right side of history.

Sadly, in my first election, I voted for Reagan. I fell for the false patriotism. It was American to be a lower middle class kid struggling even as Reagan made it harder for me to go to college.

I am so excited I feel like such a geek!
Especially proud of my youngest (they have the same b-day, three years apart), she just turned 18 on Sunday, but she found out she could register by the deadline even though she was 17 on that date.
I think I might cry at the polling place!

He is almost 20 and this will be his first Presidential election. Another vote for Obama!

Politics is about the only thing we agree on.

I remember when he gave the keynote address years ago and I told them, "This guy will be president someday."
I didn't know it'd be so soon, but PBO has been the best thing to happen for our country since I can remember.
Now he can kick ass in his second term.

youngest two for the first time.

We live in a very red part of Virginia. Obama has 4 votes from the Democrats in our family (me and the girls) and 1 vote from the Republican in our family (my husband!)

We went with her to the polling place. My husband and I always vote absentee so we were done. We took pictures of her by the voting place. The workers were great. They applauded and announced there was a first time voter. I imagine she was embarrassed and proud. Her dad and I were thrilled. She hasn't missed voting in a single election-local or state. We all voted early this year.
