"I" vs "We". Right vs Left. occurred to me this AM listening to interviews of Repub women

on NPR, esp about the recent rape comments and the economy (they had interviews with some women small business owners).

Democrats seem to the default of "we" - it is important for us all to move forward together. Republicans - default to "I" - if I am OK, then that's good enough. And extrapolating it to things like climate change - the "I" translates to here and now. Screw the future, our children, the earth.

How did there get to be so many selfish people in the country? And of course the great irony is in how many of them consider themselves super-religious.

The phrase "Why should I....." along with "I give to charity...."

I always here these shit phrases coming out of their mouths. They just don't see America as a community and feel no responsibility towards it. They do have an "everyman for himself" mentality.

the Prosperity Gospel), it's taught in our business colleges (see any college of business), and it's spewed over the so-called 'news' stations 24/7. It's all about ME!
