Obama winning "states" but not "nationally." Huh?

That dick from Politico, Jim Vanderwhatshisname, just said this. Morning Scum is desperately trying to change the subject from positive poll numbers for Obama. "Fiscal cliff! We're doomed!" These guys are a riot...Joe should watch his own network in the afternoon, where yesterday the pundits were saying, one way or another, no matter who wins the election, a deal will be made. I wish Joe would jump off that effing cliff.

Is Colin Powell going to do a cooking segment on Today? Or will Hillary do a fashion show on GMA? Unfortunately, it's the only serious show on in the morning. Soladad doesn't even start until 7:00.

7. Somehow I don't think we'll see Colin Powell doing meat loaf with Rachel Ray

Like Ann Romney did yesterday, before Meat Loaf made his disastrous appearance with Mitt in Defiance, Ohio.

Rasmussen/Gravis/Suffolk are doing to polling what Fox/Rush/Hannity have done to "news".

6. Saw that, Jim Vanderheim is always like that, yeah, don't talk about social issues,

Republicans always lose. However, they come up because of the republicans. How do you win states but the other guy has the momentum as Vanderheim says.

That's a pretty meaningless thing for them to focus on, but obviously it's all they've got.

Yesterday was the gloom and doom day with a bunch of sad sack faces. Today they've decided to go back to obsessing over
national polls and ignoring the Electoral College numbers. So that means that once again they are talking like Mitt has a real chance and that the Mourdock debacle has not occurred.

If they couldn't jerk us around with all of this back and forth, they wouldn't have a reason to get up every morning. The key to our sanity is to not get distracted by these guys. It is in THEIR best interest to keep the viewers riled up and WATCHING them. We need to ignore their game and instead concentrate on sources that have a proven track record like Nate Silver (538) and the Princeton Consortium (Dr. Sam Wang). And those sources say the President has a very good chance (way better than 50/50) of winning the election.

Don't ever forget Joe's job is to get ratings numbers and sell advertising and he and his guests will do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal, including giving the viewers a skewed view of the direction the election process is moving.

If you can travel for the weekend, do it. Work GOTV through election day. West coast will bring it home late if it is close. Make phone calls, door to door, help at a campaign office. GOTV GOTV
