Cancer = body cells becoming immortal. Gift from God?

Should we criminalize surgery and chemotherapy targeted at removing these blessed cells?

Repugs talking point...cancer is God's gift. Leave it alone. Put doctors in prison for saving cancer patients.

Democratic talking point...Cancer is caused by man's stupidity. Genetic modified foods. Smoking. Car exhausts. Our fault. We must find the cure.

We understand the "spark" of cancer cell development just about as well as we understand the "spark" of fertilization. Why would one be divine and the other not?
