Back to reality. Can't be seen pushing a false narrative so close to the election, or people might think they have an agenda.

There are so many other ways to gather information and the vet stuff now that whatever they do is just to those of us who watch this crap.

Seriously, there are only about 40 million people who watch "news" on a fairly regular basis.

That's what makes me feel better.

Of course, you'll never hear them say Obama has the momentum. They refused to use the "M" word when Obama was skyrocketing this past summer after all the Romney gaffes.

CNN can go screw itself. Oh, except they already did years ago when they became FOX lite every election cycle.

They're infotainment, not news. Never mistake the two.

9. I stopped watching CNN

I used to watch it but can't anymore. Every time I turn it on they seem to be hyping up Romney. This morning when I was flicking through channels I stopped by CNN to see what was up and Brook Baldwin had a big story on how much Romney has raised this October. 111 million or something like that. She had made a big deal about it.

They seem to be bringing in more Republican guests then Democratic ones for commentary. And keep giving Romney alot of hype and hope. Almost to the point where they seem to be pulling for him.

And Anderson Cooper seems to be hammering the Democrats more then usual. Wolf Blitzer, gawd. I can't listed to him hype up Romney. And that King character with his electoral map thing.

I couldn't take it anymore so if I watch it I turn it to another channel the minute they start talking about the election.

I threw in the towel in summer of 2008.

Just could not do it anymore.

I was watching Blitzer interview some R congressman, and he did this little tell he was so oblivious to in showing his bias by referring to him as a "good conservative." I had noticed this with him earlier, and he said it three times in the interview, 'Congressman, you are a good conservative ..."

That did it, I turned the channel, and I have maybe watched a few minutes of CNN every couple of months since.

I think we should all boycott ALL cable news. They aren't news...they are corporations trying to make a profit. They give you a morsel of news and hours of opinions and commentary. I've almost completely stopped watching any of it for over a year and find that I am much more informed. My head isn't trying to weed through the spin to find the facts. Better to go directly to the facts. And I'd rather hear opinions from people who aren't getting paid for their opinion.

Cable news...either give us the actual spin free news...or go away!

I said goodbye to cable. I got sick of paying for things like FOX news every month. Half the crap in a cable package is worthless and not worth my money.

I suspect that many, if not most pollsters are underestimating the LV percentage for Obama and under sampling minorities.

That is just my uneducated theory, but I like it!

The protests were on the news almost every night. The political heat grew to the point where Mr. anti Communist himself, Richard Nixon, had to relent.

This was the era when Nikita Khrushchev said "We will bury you" and Communist fear was at it's peak. The "domino theory" was at it's highest magnitude.

Yet....the evening news displayed war dissent almost every single night. Protest was covered extensively and it brought about civil rights legislation and ended an unpopular war.

Flash forward to 2011 and the Occupy movement receives scant coverage. The media moguls figured it out. Don't show it and it might quietly go away.

People under the age 45 simply don't understand. They have nothing to compare modern "reporting" to. Many think it has always been this way. At least those that have only experienced political awareness post Reagan.

There are a string of generations since those times that have no idea what news or professional journalism is.

Our country is dieing from within because of the demise of our press corps. In modern times, a Watergate level event happens almost every other month and it lasts for two news cycles. In the past, such events were at the news fore front for months on end. The press was relentless and held politicians accountable.

Politicians are not accountable for gross negligence because the press is not holding them accountable for gross negligence. Instead, politicians are held accountable for fiction largely based on political leanings. Fiction so obvious that critical thinking people don't trust the press anymore.
