Reminder: Make Sure of the Youth Vote Turn-Out

Last edited Thu Oct 25, 2012, 04:37 PM - Edit history (1)

Consider this a reminder, if you know some young person:

Halo 4's release date is November 6, 2012.

This is the one thing I can't seem to shake off. The youth vote turn out...

So heck, I'm probably doing canvassing again and taking off the 6th so I could volunteer driving to the polls, in Virginia...

I live in Maryland, but you know, if I can make some of the young folk feel guilty and come along, not getting stuck in their rooms playing that thing, I think that would be great!

Any way, I'm sure this is unfounded, it is just the one thing I can't seem to shake off.

An article that has a similar point of view for more detail:

--Bottom Line: Remind the Younger folk, who is also in my demographic to make sure they vote, even if they line up on the stores at midnight of the 5th. To vote before or after they get the game. Even if you have to drive them.

You're kidding, right? A VIDEO game is going to come between Obama and the presidency? Come on now!

You just can't seem to "shake it off," huh? REALLY?

Geez.

That is the only one illogical thing that I can't seem to shake off.
I am sure it is nothing, but just saying, if you know some person that would basically stay in the line at midnight for it on the 5th, they might be someone to check up on.

See?

Showing that it is the highest grossing entertainment product in the world, and how it may affect the 18-30 demographic. Of course, I don't know the demographics of people that play Halo, just that it is the younger demographic, but not the political leanings.

Any how, I am sure that this was discussed here a while back, and my apologies for bringing it up.
Just thinking that it is the one thing that I have not shook off, and as mentioned, I am going to do something about it, namely volunteering to drive people to the polls, and canvassing on Sunday.

I actually know a few that have done that to be able to stand in line for the release of the game on the 5th.

Halo is a euphemism for earthquakes or maybe flood waters...right?

Thing is, I am sure this is nothing, but, it is also a potential issue.
So, since I haven't seen anything regarding this, and a push to make sure that younger voters are going to go to the polls, I am just bringing this to attention.

Tell all young voters that our Constitutional rights are far more important to defend than playing a video game. The games will still be on the shelves for sale the next day.

Just saying that, this is something that should not be underestimated.

Where, if you know some young person that is more likely than not standing in line for that game on midnight of the 5th or on Saturday morning, to make sure that they pass by the polls.

Merely as a reminder.
