Mourdocks theology?

Richard Mourdock's original statement, "But I came to realize that life is that gift from God. And, I think, even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”

His clarification, “Are you trying to suggest somehow that God preordained rape, no I don't think that. Anyone who would suggest that is just sick and twisted. No, that's not even close to what I said.”

So, Mourdock's God fully intended for that gift of conception to occur, but He had nothing to do with bringing the rapist and his victim together, or planting the intention in the rapist's mind that led to his subsequent actions.

There is no other other way to understand this unless Mourdock's God loves babies, but has no idea where they come from.
