Any pretense she had of being the "face" of a more moderate/tolerant breed of "young Republican" has totally been thown by the wayside by her statements and actions this year.

Mourdock exemplifies a large swath of the Republican electorate these days, and he said exactly what he meant. That he was their nominee does not surprise me. Apparently they are going balls to the wall this cycle. I hope this knocks Mike Pence out for governor also. That would be a delicious bonus.

If John Wayne Gacy were running as a Republican senator in full clown makeup, Republicans would say they support him if he'll admit killing some of his victims was a lapse in judgement.
