Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne is in a heap of trouble. (i made a meme for your enjoyment) It seems the FBI is trailing him for part of an investigation into alleged campaign-finance violation. They saw his female coworker leave the office and park in a parking garage. Then Horne left the office and parked in the same parking garage. Then he got in her car, put on a hat and he drove to her house...with the FBI trailing them. He backed into a car at her house and then they fled to another parking garage and then walked back to her house.
Yes, the Attorney General. The man in charge of laws, behavior, investigations for the state of AZ. We keep wondering why AZ's politics are so crazy. The answer might be: they have crooks at the helm.

Now, the ABC15 Investigators have obtained new documents that contain some surprising details.
The documents are part of an investigative report that may be shifting the focus of public attention from the allegations of Horne campaign violations to questions about a romantic midday rendezvous.
...
Multiple sources told us, Horne and Chenal have carried on a romantic relationship for years, dating back to when he hired her at the Arizona Department of Education.
...
But the ABC15 Investigators assembled this chronology:
In 2005, Carmen Chenal lost her law license after repeated violations of state bar regulations.
In 2006, just a few months after losing her license to practice law, Chenal is hired by Horne to work for him at the Arizona Department of Education.
In November 2010, Horne was elected Arizona Attorney General and hired Chenal despite the fact that she did not have a law license.
In late 2010 Horne testified in an effort to help Chenal get her law license back.
In March of 2011 Chenal is reinstated and gets her law license back.
In July 2011 Horne launches an internal investigation to find out who is leaking information to the press about Carmen Chenal.
In 2011 Horne promoted Chenal and gave her a job paying $108,000.00.
One of Chenals new responsibilities is handling international extraditions even though court records show she had no extradition law training or experience.

He "first learned" of his involvement when he heard the sound of hitting the other car!!!!
His "possible" involvement? These (R)s are un-f-ing believable! They're living in a fantasy world.

(32,712 posts)I don't agree with hit and runs at all, but it's even worse when rich people do it. A drunk asshole lawyer did that in the parking garage at my job and he got away with it, despite witnesses. They could easily leave their information instead of sticking the bill on someone of less means.

Arizona AG Tom Horne cited by police in hit-and-run accident
PHOENIX -- Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne has been cited in a hit-and-run accident almost seven months ago near downtown Phoenix.
Phoenix police say the department's Vehicular Crimes Unit met with Horne and his attorney Wednesday.
They say Horne was cited for one count of leaving the scene of a collision/unattended vehicle, a class three misdemeanor.
Police say the case now will be forwarded to the city's municipal court for disposition.
